Huub Ubbens

Huub Ubbens graduated at the Rietveld Academy of Art in Amsterdam. From 1997 to 2004 he worked in Artemide as the head of design and for six years was the art director of Danese-Milano. In 2005 he opened his design studio in Milan, concentrating on product design, light design and light-art installations. Huub works with companies such as Panasonic, Artemide, Innobiz, Castorama, 3M, Colosio-Arditi, BBB, Danese-Milano and Fiat. He also holds workshops in design schools and universities, for example SPD of Milan, ECNU of Shanghai and Strate of Paris. Some of his projects have obtained prestigious awards such as the Design Plus Award, Reddot Award and two special selections of the Compasso d’Oro. In 2010 his design office moved to Montpellier-France.
