Paolo Rizzatto

Paolo Rizzatto (1941) is an architect who lives and works in Milan. He is involved in architecture, interiors, design and lighting. He has designed for the most prestigious names such as Alias, Arteluce, Artemide, Alias, Cassina, Danese, Flos, Knoll, Kartell, Montina, Poltrona Frau and Thonet. In 1978, with Riccardo Sarfatti, he founded the company Luceplan. He holds courses and conferences in various university institutes, for example Columbia University New York and Milan Polytechnic. His works are included in the permanent collections of numerous museums and foundations including Triennale Milan, Museum of Modern Art New York, Victoria and Albert Museum (London), Museo della Scienza e della Tecnica (Milan) and Musée des Arts Decoratifs (Paris). He has been awarded numerous prizes, including five Compasso d’oro awards in 1981, 1989, 1995, 2008 and 2011 and the Good Design Award Chicago 1999 and 2010.
